How We Test and Review

Every recommendation on Best Review Express is based on real testing. Here's exactly how we evaluate hosting and SaaS products.

Hosting Review Methodology

1. Purchase & Setup (Week 1)

• We purchase each hosting plan anonymously (not through affiliate relationships)
• We time the signup process from cart to live website
• We document every upsell and checkout friction point
• We screenshot the full billing breakdown including GST/VAT

2. Performance Testing (Weeks 2-6)

• We install identical WordPress sites on each host (same theme, content, plugins)
• We run GTmetrix tests weekly from 5+ geographic locations: Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, London, New York
• We measure: TTFB (Time to First Byte), full page load, Core Web Vitals
• We record uptime using UptimeRobot 5-minute pings

3. Support Testing

• We submit identical questions to each host's support (via live chat and email)
• We measure: response time, technical accuracy, resolution time
• We specifically test for Indian-context questions (UPI payment, GST invoices, Hindi support)

4. Long-term Observation (Months 2-6)

• We monitor uptime over 3-6 months before recommending
• We track any performance degradation over time
• We note any unexpected charges or policy changes

5. Renewal Testing

• For hosts we've used longer, we document the actual renewal experience
• We compare promotional price vs renewal price
• We test whether loyalty discounts are offered and what works

SaaS Review Methodology

1. Real Usage

• We use each SaaS tool for at least 30 days before reviewing
• We test with real use cases (not demos)
• We pay for paid plans out of pocket

2. Indian Market Considerations

• Does pricing support INR billing?
• Are UPI / Razorpay / Paytm accepted?
• Does the tool work well with Indian-specific workflows?
• Is support available in Indian time zones?

What We Don't Do

• ❌ We don't accept free products in exchange for positive reviews
• ❌ We don't rank based on affiliate commission rates
• ❌ We don't hide negative findings to protect affiliate relationships
• ❌ We don't update prices without testing that they're current

How We Stay Objective

Our editorial team has no direct contact with product vendor marketing teams. We test as ordinary customers. If a vendor offers us a free account or special access, we politely decline — or purchase the same plan ourselves.

Updates and Corrections

We review and update every article at least every 6 months. When major changes occur (price jumps, feature additions, data center changes), we update within 2 weeks. Corrections are noted at the top of updated articles.
